Learn as if you were going to live forever. Live as if you were going to die tomorrow.Mahatma Gandhi This memorial website was created to remember our dearest
Melissa Sandstrom who was born in
Pennsylvania on
January 5, 1979 and passed away on
March 9, 1995. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.
Melissa had just turned 16 only 2 months and 4 days before her sudden death during an asthma attack. Her passing devastated our family!! To deal with my overwhelming grief, I wrote a book of poetry called ANGELSTOUCH. I had a book signing and the day was all in her honor. I give all credit to GOD who led my pen to paper, and the words to my pen. Melissa and I were very close...as a GRAM could be with her beautiful GRANDDAUGHTER. She was proud of her driving and the little car her parents gave her. She was a teacher's aide in elementary school, and loved it so much that she wanted to become a teacher after graduation. Her death altered all of our lives in different ways. It's almost 20 years...but Melissa's memory is alive in our hearts and in our lives. Not a day goes by that we don't all think of her and miss her terribly. RIP my dear Melissa...Your devoted Gram will always love you!!
